Venture Lodge No. 8198 is a well-established and welcoming Lodge in the North Tyneside area, dedicated to fostering the spirit of adventure, friendship, and self-discovery inherent in Freemasonry.

Consecrated in 1967 and meeting at Whitley Bay Masonic Hall since 1989, our Lodge brings together men from diverse walks of life who share a commitment to ethical living and mutual support.

Our name, Venture, speaks to the journey of self-improvement and exploration that defines the Masonic experience. We provide the structure and support to help our members develop Integrity, Respect, Friendship, and Service, guiding them as they navigate their personal and professional lives.

Our Character & Unique Tradition

Venture Lodge maintains a sociable, inclusive, and committed membership. While honouring the time-tested rituals of the Craft, our atmosphere is one of warmth and encouragement, making it an ideal choice for both seasoned Masons and new candidates embarking on their "venture" into Freemasonry.

A Distinct Schedule

We hold eight meetings a year, with a break during the height of summer and a special ceremony held in the month of October. Our consistent mid-week schedule allows members to plan their social and family calendars effectively.

Celebrating 50 Years

Having celebrated our 50th Anniversary in recent years (2018), Venture Lodge possesses a deep history and tradition while remaining firmly focused on the future of the Craft, constantly striving to welcome new and younger members into our fellowship.

A History of Movement

Originally consecrated in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, our move to the Whitley Bay Masonic Hall in 1989 reflects our adaptability and continued vitality in a new, thriving community.
